Mary Buckley and her husband, Bill are both ministers and parents of three grown children with two grandchildren. Mary was a Chaplain at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center working specifically with Oncology patients, lived and worked in Ocean Springs in the Katrina recovery effort and now resides in Clinton, Mississippi.
Mary is a self-taught artist. Her college study gave her a degree in Piano Education, and she served in Church Music Ministry for many years. Her mother, Anne Parker, who was a well-respected artist and art teacher in the Jackson area, influenced Mary since childhood in the area of art.
After enjoying her years at home raising her children, Mary began to develop an interest in pursuing art as a second hobby. She soon discovered a great love and latent talent, which progressed quickly with the help of private instruction from her mother, and many hours spent pouring over art books. She works primarily in watercolors and acrylics.
She enjoys the process of growing as an artist, and is excited about the adventure ahead.
